THINGS TO DO
Creek Life Cottage is located far enough from city life to make a difference,
but close enough for you to experience all the mountains have to offer.
The closest town (less than 10 miles) to our cottage is Hot Springs which
is a quaint mountain town.
People travel here from all over the U.S. and even folks nearby in
Asheville, and across the state line in Tennessee often enjoy a weekend getaway here.
You’ll find locally owned restaurants, Hillbilly Market, Sara Jo’s Station,
Gentry hardware store, and shops, taverns/craft beer brewery,
but only one gas station, and only one franchise store/Dollar General
in Hot Springs.
When you’re in Hot Springs you’ll find the renowned
Hot Springs Resort & Spa .
Make a reservation to soak in a naturally heated tub of mineral water,
and maybe indulge in a massage, too!
The Appalachian Trail passes through town, and over the French Broad River
(3rd oldest river in the world).
It’s a small town where you won’t find a traffic light,
and you just might forget about life’s daily routine and worries!
Driving through the Spring Creek valley, and the surrounding areas…
you’ll enjoy the scenery.
Old barns, scenic views, maybe wildlife roaming will get your attention!
Max Patch Bald with panoramic views is a great place to watch the sunset,
and hike to the Appalachian Trail.
There is much more to see and do throughout the mountains.
A day trip to Asheville (A visit to Biltmore House) will keep you busy.
In the opposite direction, Cherokee (Visit the Casino) Waynesville, Maggie Valley, there are lots of sites to see, and things to experience. rafting, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, zip lining, hiking fishing, and many other activities.
